LG's Latest Ultra-Portable Notebook
LG's sub 3-pound notebook packs in EVDO and a GeForce Go 7300 GPU
If you disregard the bikini-clad models for a moment, you would see that LG Electronics is showing a new 12.1" ultra-portable notebook for consumers. All we know at this time is that the LW25-EV comes equipped with a Core Duo T2400 processor, 1GB of DDR2 memory, a GeForce Go 7300 graphics processor, 3G EVDO connectivity and a DMB TV tuner. This is all packed into a device that weighs a feathery 2.4 pounds.
There is no word on pricing or availability, but stay tuned for more details.
Hopefully, we’ll see this notebook stateside, minus the DMB TV tuner of course. LG is not new to ultraportables. Earlier this year the company announced the T1 Express notebook which measures up to only 0.83" thick.
Of course, considering today is the "official" announcement for Core 2 Duo, it seems a tad odd that LG is announcing an older Core Duo model.
